College of Computing Offers First Interdisciplinary Robotics Doctoral Program in the U.S.

ATLANTA (January 30, 2008)

– The College of Computing at Georgia Tech today announced the nation’s first interdisciplinary doctoral degree in robotics, to be offered at Georgia Tech. The program, which starts fall semester of 2008, was developed through Georgia Tech’s new Center for Robotics and Intelligent Machines (RIM@Georgia Tech)

To Reiterate my Promise

  • The students come first. This team is about the students having fun and getting excited about science and technology. Everything my team does starts and ends with that principle.
  • The students do the work. This is their opportunity to learn and grow. The students on my team do all of the programming, research, problem solving, and building. Adults can help them find the answers, but cannot give them the answers or make the decisions.
